Ship trading agency services acts as an upstream services provider in the supply chain of provision of shipping services. Our wholly-owned subsidiary, COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) Ship Trading Company Limited (“COSCO SHIPPING Ship Trading”), is currently the only window company within COSCO SHIPPING Group providing exclusive ship trading agency services.
Our ship trading agents provide ship owners with more cost-effective ship trading solutions, including shipbuilding, ship trading and chartering for second-hand vessels and obsolete vessels, as well as consultancy services for ship technology and trading, as well as business negotiations, in which including negotiating of purchasing of new build and the purchase and sale contract of second hand vessels, follow-ups of the construction and delivery process of new build ships.
We have developed long-term business relationship with various shipping companies, ship builders, marine brokers, vessel classification societies and marine equipment suppliers.
Leveraging upon COSCO SHIPPING Group’s strong support and experienced technical experts, COSCO SHIPPING Ship Trading will continue to provide high quality services for COSCO SHIPPING’s fleet and explore the provision of ship trading agency services for non-COSCO SHIPPING customers. In addition, COSCO SHIPPING Ship Trading will put more efforts on the development on new business as to deliver the best and comprehensive service solutions to its customers.
